"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him:..."Gen.1:27. "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Gen. 2:7. "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Gen. 2:16-17.
In the beginning man was created as a holy creature in the image of God pre-destined to live forever eating from the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. Man's spirit was the same as God's Spirit.
